Chongqing Research Institute Makes Progress in the Study of Accurate Preparation Technology for 5 nm Graphene Nanopore

A few days ago, the Precision Medicine Single Molecular Diagnostics Research Center of the Chongqing Institute of Green Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences made progress in the research of precise preparation technology of 5-nanometer graphene nanopores. The research results are based on Precise fabrication of a 5nm graphene nanopore with a helium ion microscope for biomolecule detection. Published in the Nanotechnology journal.

The research team used a helium ion microscope to produce high-quality graphene nanopores with a diameter of 5-30 nm for biomolecules detection on graphene films. The experimental results show that there is no linear relationship between the hole-expanding behavior of nanopores and exposure time. . At the same time, the prepared graphene nanopore successfully detects and analyzes 20-base single-stranded DNA homopolymer, and realizes the identification of four homopolymers.
