The self-owned brands accounted for 28.74% of the total sales of excavators in the year, an increase of 2.72% over the previous year. According to the analysis, sales of self-owned brand excavators will continue to increase substantially if they are not subject to import restrictions due to key components.
In the single-model sales list, the SY215C-8 crawler excavator manufactured by Sany Heavy Machinery won the 2010 best-selling excavator in China by selling 4,570 units in the year (2009: Doosan DH225LC, 3212 Taiwan; 2008: Caterpillar 320D, 2562 units), demonstrating the tremendous progress made by own-brand excavators and the self-confidence of their own brands.
