If the floor you buy is to be used for geothermal, there are several conditions:
1, can only use composite flooring, preferably with multi-layer composite flooring. Personally, it is not recommended to use laminate flooring. The reason for this is that it is mainly considering the comprehensive performance. Multi-layer composite is the best in terms of stability. As long as the process is standardized, the products that come out are hardly shrunk. The three-layer composite performance is closer to solid wood, and the expansion and contraction of solid wood can be said to be unavoidable, so it is not suitable for use as geothermal. The enhanced thermal conductivity is better, but the substrate is a high-density board, and the glue content is higher than that of solid wood composite.
2. It needs to be processed by 'pre-stressing' technology. 'Prestressing' technology is used in construction, such as prefabricated panels (floors) and structural beams in our houses. To put it simply, an inward pressure is added to the floor to offset the outward pulling force of the floor substrate in the geothermal environment (this tension causes the surface to crack), making the floor less prone to cracking under geothermal conditions. But your naked eye can't tell if there is such a technical treatment. You can only know more about the business. In fact, many manufacturers don't know this. They call their own floor a special geothermal floor.
3, hot and cold double pressure floor is better. The gluing process has two types: 'cold press' and 'hot press'. Generally, only one of them is selected by the manufacturer. However, if the floor adaptation made by the two pressing processes is stronger, the cost will be slightly higher, because the two processes use completely different equipment. There are not many domestic hot and cold double-pressure processes.
4. The formaldehyde content should be at a lower level. When the geothermal heat is turned on, the temperature of the ground will reach 50 degrees, and the temperature of the floor is about 30 to 40 degrees for a long time, and it is more likely to volatilize harmful substances.
5, the overall thickness should not exceed 15cm, the thickness of the surface layer should not exceed 4cm. The thicker the heat conduction effect, the more heat loss. If the surface layer exceeds 4cm, both the material properties and the thermal conductivity will decrease at the same time.
