U.S. decided to impose double taxation on wind tower products in China

According to reports, on December 18, 2012, the U.S. Department of Commerce made a final ruling in which it was found that dumping and subsidies existed for China's application of wind tower products to the United States. The dumping margin was 44.99% to 70.63%, and the subsidy rate was 21.86% to 34.81%. The subsidy rate increased by 10 percentage points from the preliminary ruling, mainly due to my export buyer’s credit project.

The case was filed on January 18, 2012. It was the second phase of the trade remedy investigation initiated by Meike after the solar battery case for my clean energy products. The products involved were steel towers that supported the use of wind energy (US Customs Tariff Nos. 7308.20.0020, 8502.30.100, and 7308.20.00), and wind power generators and blades were not included in the survey. According to U.S. statistics, in 2011, the amount of products that I involved in the United States exports was US$220 million. The US Trade Commission will continue to investigate the damage in this case and it is expected that a final ruling will be made before January 31, 2013 to decide whether to impose anti-dumping countervailing duty on products imported from China.
