New energy vehicles can't just eat policy meals

Recently, relevant ministries and commissions jointly issued the “Notice on Further Doing a Pilot Work for Demonstration and Promotion of Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicles” (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”), requesting the pilot cities to study and formulate new energy vehicles while implementing the central pilot policy. Demonstrate promotion and encouragement policies, and implement restriction measures such as license plate auctions, shakes, and restrictions. As soon as the news came out, it immediately attracted the attention of various parties. Even industry insiders believed that the new energy vehicles will usher in a fast-growing spring.

New energy vehicles are bound to be the direction of future development, and the issuance of the "Notice" undoubtedly brought a gospel to them. However, only by eating policy meals, new energy vehicles may not run fast, not far away.

After deep contact with automobile manufacturers, I learned that there are two major bottlenecks in the current development of new energy vehicles. First, the price is too expensive. For example, a pure electric car (a new energy vehicle) launched by a self-owned brand not long ago was sold at a price of more than 300,000 yuan, which is equivalent to the brand's dynamic performance and grade. Gasoline car prices only a few million. In this regard, consumers who are not savvy will count the bills - using more than 200,000 yuan to burn oil, no matter how much better than new energy vehicles. Second, the cruising range is not as good as that of a conventional power car, and it is not as convenient as charging for external charging. At present, even a more technologically advanced pure electric vehicle can only run for two or three hundred kilometers at full power, which is obviously not enough.

Therefore, under the spring breeze of policy, new energy vehicles still have a long way to go. For automobile manufacturers, how to break through the bottleneck of the development of new energy vehicles cannot rely on policies alone, and more on their own.
