1. Appropriate viscosity and good temperature resistance The viscosity of lubricating oil is related to the startability of the engine, the degree of wear of the machine parts, the consumption of fuel and lubricating oil and the size of power loss. If the viscosity of the oil is too large, the fluidity is poor, the time required to enter the friction surface is long, the fuel consumption will increase, the wear of the machine will increase, the cleaning and cooling will be poor, but the sealing is good; if the viscosity is too small, a reliable oil film cannot be formed and cannot be maintained Lubrication, poor sealing, large wear, and reduced power. Therefore, if the viscosity is too large or too small, it is not good and should be suitable.
2. Good dispersing performance. The sludge and other dirt generated by the lubricating system will be precipitated from the oil when it is too much, resulting in clogging of the oil filter and oil hole, poor fluidity of the oil, sticky piston rings, increased fuel consumption and reduced power. In order to prevent the above failures, it is necessary to add oil-soluble clean dispersant to the lubricating oil. Detergents are mainly divided into metallic detergents and ashless dispersants.
3. Good lubricity Most of the engines used are sliding bearings, and they have to bear a large load. The engine lubricating oil must have good lubricity under high load and high pressure conditions.
4. Good acid neutrality Fuel oil, especially diesel oil, contains a large amount of sulfur components. The acid gas generated after combustion combines with water to form sulfuric acid or sulfurous acid and other solutions. These acids will corrode the metal in the engine. Therefore, it is required that the lubricating oil has a good ability to neutralize acids and reduce the damage of the acidic substances produced by combustion to the engine.
5. Good anti-oxidation and thermal oxidation performance Lubricating oil will combine with oxygen at high temperature, and its oxidation products will make the lubricating oil deteriorate and fail, which is one of the main causes of many engine failures. Various anti-oxidation 1234 additives should be added to the lubricating oil to avoid oxidative deterioration.
6. Good foam resistance. Due to the strong agitation and splash lubrication of the crankshaft, it is easy to generate bubbles in the lubricating oil, the lubricating performance is reduced, and it can cause the oil pump to malfunction. Therefore, a good foam inhibitor product must be added to the lubricating oil to suppress the generation of foam and maintain the effectiveness of the lubricating oil
