Vollmer develops six-axis superhard tooling combined machine tool

EDM and finish machining of PCD and PCBN tools in a single setup helps toolmakers ensure the precision and efficiency of ultra-hard tool machining. To this end, Vollmer has developed the QXD 200 universal six-axis composite machining machine, which enables efficient machining of super-hard tools in the 250mm diameter and 200mm length range. To increase processing efficiency, the machine uses a new power supply that reduces EDM time by 30% compared to the company's previously used power supplies. When machining superhard materials, rotary (disc) electrical discharge machining usually reserves a margin of 10-20 μm for subsequent finishing. The electrical discharge machining can achieve a surface finish of Ra 0.18 μm, and the finish of the finished grinding can reach Ra 0.05 μm. The machine also measures the position and size of the grinding wheel, electrodes and workpieces in the machining environment. In addition, its automatic tool changer can hold up to six wheels and electrodes, providing the versatility of machining different tool geometries without the operator having to manually change the electrodes and wheels, or the replacement electrode and wheel position. Re-measure. Due to the novel layout of the shafting, the tool can be machined in a depending position. When the machining tool is clamped with a conventional horizontal axis, the tool's own weight may cause deformation. To improve tool path jump accuracy, Vollmer developed a vertical axis. This type of machining also helps keep the workpiece interface clean as it can wash away debris from the tool. In addition, it makes the measurement more accurate. To eliminate the need to adjust its 3D model before machining a tool, Vollmer developed the ExLevel software to create an accurate "copy" of the tool's 3D model, where the tool's dimensional tolerances are identical to the model. This virtual simulation program also enables the user to verify that the tool design is correct. If the design is faulty, the tool's 3D model can be imported into its modeling software for modification before starting the machining. In order to transport the machine to be machined, the QXD200 offers three options: 1 conventional magazine; 2 tray system for 39 large diameter tools (workpieces); 3 for 64 small diameter tools (workpieces) Pallet system. These pallet systems are located on rails outside the machine and integrate other components of the manufacturing process, such as brazing and inspection, with the tool transport system.

Inclined Shaft Trolley

It includes a trolley bottom plate parallel to the inclined shaft track. One side of the trolley bottom plate corresponding to the inclined shaft track is connected with trolley wheels, and the other side of the trolley bottom plate is connected with a horizontal main platform; Not only has the advantages of convenient disassembly and assembly and a wide range of applications, but also can reduce the construction cost of power station expansion, reduce the workload of on-site welding, and improve structural stability and safety.
